I thought I would write a little thing about some statistics on Custodia, so you all have a little idea about what is going on in the system daily. Simple information for people finding such things interesting.

Today Custodia received a small update of the program. I will not go into details about all the tweaks, but the already mentioned tweak by adding a "Finish" timer has now been implemented. From now on it is not possible to just start and stop Custodia and blame a small upload on a Custodia bug. Remember, the Vista bug is still there and will happen randomly for some people. It is easy for Custodia admins to verify that a small upload is in fact a bug, so if needed, contact an admin.

Furthermore a small error was corrected where Custodia sometime would crash with the error shown bellow when clicking on the "Finish" button.

To make Custodia better, I always welcome help from the users. Therefore I would like any information you may have on possible hackers, new smart hacks or timers or whatever people are calling them. I am not judging anyone that would contact me with information or a hack. Please contact me on custodia@ambitio.dk if you have any information or maybe a hack you think I should take a look at.

As many of you know there is a problem with Custodia on some Vista systems. The problem appears random, since alot of people can run Custodia on their Vista systems just fine, but that is of course not good enough.

The problem causes extreme small uploads, since the screenshots are not taken correctly. I am well aware of this problem and I am trying to find a solution to it, so we can remove all the accusations of fake uploads. In the meantime it is easy for the admins to check if the person has actually run Custodia and not just made a quick start.

Custodia has new received a small news page, where I intend to keep your all updated on any changes to the system.

To start out, I can tell you that the entire Custodia system now have moved server. Last night many of you saw that the website was down because of the movement. The new DNS should now be updated on all ISPs, so I hope this server will be a bit more stable and be able to handle the high pressure. The servers are bigger, and the host alot more competent, so let us see how it goes.

The Custodia system has grown heavily since it started for about a year ago. Especially since the system was made free the pressure on the website has been huge. On an ordinary day there is around 6000 absolute unique website visitors, and 5000 uploads totaling over 2GB of uploaded data. This is quite a lot of traffic, and I had never foreseen a popularity like this.
